You may wonder what wine tasting, fun, and helping others have in common?   Well they are all part of  the City of Gardena Annual Food & Wine Tasting Festival.

The first Wine and Food Tasting Festival was hosted in 2010 by the former Mayor of Gardena.  The planning committee was excited to see how well received the introduction of this brand new City event would be.  The event exceeded expectations and over 1500 people were in attendance in the first year, and attendance has remained constant over the years.

The Festival represents about 15 wine vendors. Local southern California wineries including San Antonio Winery, account for about 50% of those represented.  Wineries located in northern California are Napa Valley and Sonoma.  Additionally, Australian/New Zealand, Chile, Argentinian, French and Italian wines are featured.

As an added fun bonus, some well-known musical greats were featured at each event which included sounds from Euge Groove, Nick Colionne, Slim Man and Bona Fide, 480 East, Eric Darius, Oly Awesome and the XOP Funk Band and many others, topped off by the City of Gardena Public Works Band.

LEAVING THE BEST FOR LAST, — All of the proceeds from the Festival benefit the Senior Citizens’ Day Care Center and Alzheimer’s Clinic.  If you want to be part of helping others, then you won’t want to miss one of the most enjoyable events in the South Bay Region.

Come to the City of Gardena Wine & Food Tasting Festival, Saturday, September 24, 2016!  Taste the Wine, Have lots of Fun, and Help others — all in one package!
