Gardena’s Annual Jazz Festival This Sunday – 8/28/2016
You can go on a cruise, take a trip to the mountains or fly to Hawaii, but if you want to enjoy an almost “end of the summer” event, that will leave you dancing, you may want to check out the City of Gardena Annual Jazz Festival.
The Jazz Festival is a first class, fun event featuring some of the country’s top Jazz artists with international food and boutique booths featuring one-of-a-kind items.
Started in 2003 by a volunteer committee headed by former Councilman Steven Bradford, the first year of the festival hosted over 5000 people. By the fourth year, attendance doubled to 10,000, and the City had to limit attendance at the event.
If you enjoy smooth Jazz with excellence, you won’t be disappointed! Jazz artists extraordinaire have included, Dave Koz, Euge Groove, Brian Culbertson, Hiroshima, Ronnie and Eloise Laws, Patrice Rushen, and several other renowned Jazz musicians.
